Obligatory disclaimer: THE VIEWS EXPRESSED ON THIS SITE BELONG TO SEAN AND ARE NOT REFLECTIVE OF HIS EMPLOYER.

Sean Arnold has had many roles in their life from construction worker to actor to musician to salesperson to a bartender to TV news crew and a range of things in between. Now their main role is as a dedicated parent of two bright and creative sons and an advocate for equitable and accessible educational practices. They are also a special educator, STEM Coach, and Director who has taught in New York City’s District 75 citywide special education program since 2005.

He is committed to reaching ALL students by using innovative technology and practices.

Despite it being somewhat antithetical to their introverted personality, Sean wants to share their experience and expertise in making learning accessible, inventive, and playful. Somehow years of personal hardships, abuse, loss, indignities, student challenges, bureaucratic struggles, and social awkwardness have not (or at least not permanently) stymied their spirit to change what they view as a system in dire need of improvement. They present these ideas at professional development opportunities and conferences to any educational change agents who would hear them. And now, spurred on by other innovative educators, he presents them here.
